How did you form kaufellas?
Well kaufellas is a colision of ka1recomedia and kore-ras pro-dark-shin. We decided to join these two organisations to form one organisation.
How did you come up with the name Kaufellas?
From the word ka1 which meant conqueres (konqueres) at one recording media and with the colision it self which we decided to join both organisations to make one thing. As we may all recall kaofella means togetherness.
What was the music scene in katlehong like before you came trough?
Well it was there but not so enteresting, because there where no much perfoming stages. You haerd to go out of katlehong to get perfomances as an artist.
What do you think holds back katlehong on making it to the South African Music scene?
The history of katlehong has been always about violence, starting from the apartheid to black against black fighting together after apartheid. This makes katlehong to be bestly known of violence.
Do you think it influenced you or helped you grow as a music promoter?
No.Not at all.
What was the hardest part of establishing your organisation?
Getting people/artist to be part of the organisation was a seriouse hustle.
What insipired you?
I was insipired by love life, and said if they can develop an organisation saying it’s for young people, why not not start up an organisation that will deal whit young people mostly artist as they seem to be ignored by many organisations but still use them for their favours.
What do you enjoy most about living in Katlehong?
Knowing that it is a virgin teritory,it has never been touched or used in South African Music industry.
If you could promote music in any other part of the world, where would it be, and why?
America,obviusely they are seem to be the best up to so far.
Where would you say your best gig was played?
Welcome Village in Kempton Park ,on the 16th of June 2010.
What does your input in katlehong music mean to you?
It means a lot hey!! It means I will be on the history books as I will be one of the people to take katlehong to the bridge.
Can you describe the promoting process?
I can, no icant. It is totally deferent every time, I do it.Its all about creativity I put evry time I do it.
What do you enjoy most about the katlehong music industry?
It is growing big day after day.
